About Me
Music has always been part of who I am and sharing music is my passion!
I am a musician based in South Wales specialising in performance and music tuition. I am a multi instrumentalist with flute and saxophone as my principle studies. I also play clarinet and piano and offer tuition for music theory. I enjoy performing a wide variety of music from a classical recital to an Ibiza style sax set. I am an orchestral player, play in big bands and have worked with several functin bands at weddings and corporate events . Whether performing as part of an ensemble or as a solo artist, my focus is on sharing and enjoying music making.
My musical journey began with studying piano during my school years, but I soon realised I was destined to become a woodwind player. At the age of 18 I began playing the flute, progressing quickly and after a year of intensive study and lessons at the RWCMD I began my undergraduate degree at Bath Spa University, majoring in performance with flute as my first study. After adding clarinet and saxophone to my portfolio of instruments I began teaching, offering woodwind, piano and theory lessons for all ages and abilities. I have been teaching for 12 years and have had many successful students progress to advanced levels.
I've always been active as a flautist but playing saxophone and clarinet has allowed me to enjoy the opportunity of playing in big bands, show bands and diversify into jazz, pop and Ibiza style dance music.
I have recently graduated with a Masters degree in Performance with a Merit at Cardiff University and am working as a freelance musician with a diverse portfolio.
